Marion County officials say the tornado traveled about 3 miles in the Spring Cottage community Tuesday.
The National Weather Service believes the tornado was an EF 2. One mobile home was destroyed and a residence received some damage. It touched down near this residence around 3:30 pm. A pregnant woman was inside the mobile home during the storm and suffered minor injuries.
"She was 5 months pregnant with twins. She was in the mobile home. It was completely destroyed. It was flipped but she sustained only minor injuries and she had a follow up with her doctor today as far as her well being."
I spoke with the unidentified woman's mother this afternoon, she says her daughter had an ultra sound this afternoon and is expecting twin boys that are doing fine.
