COLLINS, Miss. (AP) - Authorities say a Covington county man was electrocuted while working to replace a power company line.
Officials tell WDAM TV (http://bit.ly/z3ljBS ) that Shannon Cameron of Collins came in contact with a live wire about 8 a.m. Wednesday.
Cameron was working for MDR, a power line construction company based in Columbia, which was replacing a power line for Dixie Electric. The accident occurred in Covington county near the Jones county line.
Company officials say Cameron had worked for MDR for a short period of time but had been in the power line replacement business for several years.
