A bond has been set for a 61 year old Jones County man who was being sought in connection to numerous scams that occurred in Jones County and several neighboring counties.
Sheriff Alex Hodge identified the subject as: 61 year old Glen Terry West of Jones County. He is being charged with felony false pretense.
According to Hodge, “ West was located and arrested by Jones County Sheriff’s Department Deputies Wednesday night around 8pm after the Investigative Division received information from concerned citizens that he was staying at a local motel. Shortly thereafter, Deputies had West in custody without incident.”
His bond was set today by Jones County Justice Court Judge Howell Beech at $ 25,000.
Mississippi Department of Corrections of Forrest County has also placed a hold on the subject for false pretense.
However; he remains behind bars in the Jones County Adult Detention Facility.
Sergeant Scott Gable added, “This has been an ongoing investigation for the past several months. We have followed up on numerous leads received from concerned citizens regarding the whereabouts of West. Thanks to the many tips received, we were successful in locating West and placing him behind bars Wednesday night without incident. “
