LAUREL, Miss. (AP) - Lance Chancellor has been named the new executive director of the Jones County Emergency Management Agency.
He succeeds former director Don McKinnon.
Chancellor previously was a grant writer for the sheriff's department. He said he has been involved with Powers Volunteer Fire Department since 1988.
The Hattiesburg American reports (http://hatne.ws/yJHnB6 ) Chancellor was selected Tuesday by the agency's board of directors - a panel of government and public safety officials from Jones County, Laurel and Ellisville.
