Harrison Co. plans prescription drug take-back

GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - The Harrison County Sheriff's Office will participate in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday by collecting unused or unneeded prescription drugs for safe disposal.
   
Prescription medications will be collected at the Lyman Community Center on U.S. Highway 49, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
   
The Sun Herald reports (http://bit.ly/s7uGp2) pills and liquids will be accepted and turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration for safe disposal.
   
Sheriff Melvin Brisolara says it is the perfect time to clean out medicine cabinets and bring in drugs that are no longer needed.
