Art Studio Raising Funds for Cancer

»  Comments | Post a Comment

"Some of our best people that are painting are people who've never painted before."

Cliff Bergeron owns Painting with A Twist on 98 West in Hattiesburg.
He says one of his artists was inspired to paint this picture.

"The puny flower, which is a symbol of hope, and of course the pink ribbon for the Susan Komen Foundation for breast cancer awareness."

You don't have to be a master painter to visit Painting with a Twist and participate in the event.

"It's a 3 hour painting that we're going to walk everyone through step by step so they'll also get to take home a piece of art that they created."

Bergeron says it's more than just brush strokes, at Painting with a Twist, they're making strides for cancer.

"We try to support charities, local charities, national charities. Every month we'll pick a different charity and we will host one of these events where we'll donate half the proceeds to the charity."
