GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - An alleged murder suspect was captured
early Monday in the east parking lot of the Island View Casino in
Gulfport.
Agents with the U.S. Marshals Office and Gulfport Police
officers helped arrest 35-year-old Anthony Gipson, who is wanted
for allegedly murdering a woman in Hattiesburg on Sunday.
Marshals told WLOX-TV that Gipson was holding a gun to his head
but after negotiations, he surrendered without incident. No casino
visitors or neighboring residents were in danger.
Authorities say Gipson will be transported back to Hattiesburg
to face charges.
