Jones County Man in Custody after Deputies Seize Meth Lab

A Jones County man is behind bars today for Methamphetamine following a search warrant at 6 Gator Road Tuesday.

Sheriff Alex Hodge identified the suspect as: 41 year old Morris “Bo” Parker of 6 Gator Farm Road. Hodge said, “Narcotic Deputies discovered a large quantity of precursor chemicals, an active Methamphetamine lab, and a firearm when they arrived on scene.”

Morris was taken into custody and charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine while in possession of a firearm, and possession of precursors with intent to manufacture Methamphetamine.

The DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) Clean-Up crew was called to the scene and performed a chemical assessment.

Morris is expected to go before a Jones County Justice Court Judge today for his initial bond hearing.
