HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) - Hattiesburg police are still
investigating the death of a University of Southern Mississippi
student and the cause of death is pending a toxicology report.
Sgt. Allen Murray said Tuesday that 29-year-old Joshua Lee
Stephenson of Corinth was found dead Monday in an apartment.
Forrest County Deputy Coroner Ronnie Kemp said the cause of
death is unknown and the body was sent to the state crime lab in
Jackson.
Kemp tells The Hattiesburg American that the preliminary autopsy
results came back Tuesday, and while no signs of trauma were
discovered, an official cause of death had not been declared and is
pending a toxicology screening.
He said he was unsure about when the toxicology results would be
released.
